We are sooo excited to welcome Dana back on the podcast! Dana was on episode #80 to share her experience outsourcing SEO with Duo, and she’s back again to share her journey of creating a custom office design that reflects her branding and creativity. What a cool way to bring your branding to life!
We always encourage our branding clients to use their branding in creative ways, but haven’t seen anyone embody their brand quite like Dana has. We hope this episode inspires you to do the same!

What we talk about in this episode:
- What made you want to bring your branding into physical, everyday touchpoints?
 - Do you feel more confident in your brand now that it lives in so many spaces beyond the screen?
 - What advice would you give to other small business owners who want to bring their brand beyond the digital space? Where should they start if they feel overwhelmed?
 - Do you already have more creative ideas for expanding your brand into physical products or experiences?

Embodying Your Brand
When people think about their brands, they think about their website, social media, emails, and all of those fun digital things. And that’s all very important for brand identity and awareness, but when it comes to other things, it might fall flat. People don’t necessarily think about the other things they can do to really amplify their brand and step into it.
Dana has really taken living out her brand a step further than just that digital space. She built her brand into her office and into a lot of her wardrobe. She is the living, breathing embodiment of her brand.
She transformed her workspace with a custom office design featuring bold colors and personalized decor. And we were honored to play a part in that by designing her brand!
She shared that it came naturally for her to use her branding in everyday life because she connected with it so much. That’s what happens when your brand truly feels like YOU!

How to Create Your Own Custom Office Design
Dana always knew she wanted to update her office, and since she loved her new branding so much, it made sense to her to use those colors, patterns, and themes in the space where she works every day.
Here’s how she decided to embody her brand:
- Custom office wallpaper (obsessed, by the way!)
 - Framed scarf she got in Paris
 - Updated business cards
 - Branded mints to use at conferences (her kids sneak them and she finds wrappers all over the place!)
 - Branded merch (T-shirts, sweatshirts, blankets, and hats)
 - Mailers and packing tape

We love that she thought about her personal space and the client experience. Whenever she sends something sweet to clients, it includes her custom mailers, packing tape, and branded pieces. It’s just those little touches that people may not think about, but it’s such a surprise and delight when they receive and open it. It’s not just getting another brown Amazon box.
But there is a balance if you’re sending things to clients. You don’t want to send an entire package of branded swag, but you could subtly include your brand colors or patterns in gifts. That way, your branding is still out there, but it’s not in their face.
If you want to customize your office, here are some ideas!
- Etched logo or pattern into a Stanley
 - Color-branded furniture (office chair, couch, lamp, etc.)
 - Custom notebooks and pens
 - Greenery and plants
 - Patterned rugs, cushions, or blankets
 - Small signs or wall art

You really can brand just about anything if you want to!

The Confidence Shift
We’ve had many clients in the past come to us who lack confidence in their current brand and in rebranding because they’re not sure how to move forward with a new one. They may have lived in this brand for years, and it’s scary to rebrand. Dana felt the same way before we worked together.
Now, her confidence has completely shifted. Dana is more confident in her brand, business, and herself. It all plays off each other.
Our business is not our life, but it’s in our heart and the core of who we are. That doesn’t mean it has to overpower our lives, but it definitely affects our confidence in everything.
In her own wardrobe, she’s started gravitating toward pieces that scream pink and green, leaning more toward the subtle colors of her new branding. That’s where the transition comes in, really living the brand look. And she believes that helps grow the confidence in the new brand and in your business, too.

Dana now shows up on social media and speaks much more confidently. And that has nothing to do with how good she is at her job—she’s always been amazing! But now she wants to show off her branding and business, and we love that for her!
It allows you to step out of your day-to-day and into your zone of genius, feeling really confident about it because your brand is surrounding you.
We talked all about this in episode #184 with Dahlia!
Dana’s Advice to You!
You don’t have to go all in—that’s just Dana’s personality. You can start small with branded mailers, stickers, or T-shirts. One of the most impactful things is your own personal wardrobe, and it doesn’t have to be branded items. You could find pieces in your brand colors.
Start there and gradually introduce more of those colors into your everyday wardrobe to build that feeling.
We can’t wait to see how Dana continues to expand her brand! It’s been such a joy to watch her growth and confidence so far.
