We have Kayla Dean on the podcast this week! She’s a website copywriter and the owner of The Literary Co. We have tons of copywriters in our world of business, and you’ve probably heard us talk about the magic of a good copywriter for your website. But today, we’re talking about evergreen quiz funnels and copy tips that make your quizzes really shine AND really work for you and your brand.

We love a good quiz – not only is it our favorite form of lead magnets, but it also is such a unique and personable way to get leads into your inbox. Check out our quiz lead magnet, how strong is your ‘gram game!

So, without further ado, let’s dive in and talk all things quizzes with Kayla!

What you’ll hear in this episode:

  • Can you walk us through why you love quizzes as a lead magnet?
  • What role does a good copy strategy play in an evergreen quiz funnel when it comes to conversion?
  • Can you walk us through the process of creating an effective evergreen quiz funnel, from concept to implementation?
  • What should we be thinking about from an ROI perspective?

  • Do you have any quiz platforms you love to work in?

ROI of Quiz Funnels

Start by thinking about why you’re doing this quiz. Is it a launch or being evergreened? Does it tie to a course or other service? Are you trying to grow your community? What do you want people to know and experience as part of your brand?

Then, of course, there are the numerical goals. How many leads do you want to get? How much will you spend on ads? What outcome are you trying to achieve from your quiz funnels?

Setting a goal for our evergreen quiz funnels sets the groundwork for the layout of the quiz and how you’ll share it. Working with someone like Kayla can help you hone in on your goal and take the right steps to achieve it.

Getting Started with Quizzes

You don’t have to have a huge quiz when you’re just starting! Instead of getting overwhelmed trying to get ten outcomes from your quiz, start with three. It’s okay to have a simple quiz when you’re first starting out and getting comfortable with this type of lead magnet. If you see it doing really well, you can add more results later. You can iterate and make changes without having to start from scratch.

Kayla also recommends researching your audience before getting started. You can learn so much from your audience by talking to them or lowkey stalking them on social media. It doesn’t have to be anything formal – throw up a few polls on your IG story. Getting a feel for where they are can help you craft your quiz. You can find out where they’re at in their business and what they’re struggling with. Then, you can structure your quiz around what you know about them.
