Ways to Integrate Video Tools Into Your Business

Apple Podcasts | Spotify

You’ve probably heard that video content is a must if you’re a service-based business. But what if we told you that video isn’t just for social media reels and YouTube tutorials? When you integrate video, it can actually transform your client experience, streamline your processes, and build trust faster than any email ever could!

Today, we’re sharing creative ways to integrate video into your service business—from onboarding and education to client communication and marketing. Plus, we’ll share one of our favorite tools for making video creation simple and effective so you can get started even if video feels intimidating.

And if you are curious what our favorite video tool is… it’s Tella. We’ll share why we love using Tella and how it’s become a go-to tool for us—and for good reason!

Why Video Matters for Service Businesses

We all know video matters from a marketing standpoint, but why does it matter for your service-based business? Businesses should integrate video outside of social media marketing.

Builds Trust

First, videos build trust and connection faster. We can record a personal and relatable video faster and easier than hopping on multiple calls with someone. We can start to build that client relationship as soon as they sign the contract.

Makes Complex Information Easier to Digest

Screen recording is a magical thing! We can show clients exactly what we’re talking about and how they can find information themselves. They can review the video multiple times or even a few months later to remind themselves how to do something. We integrate video throughout our entire process, no matter the package someone chooses.

Enhances Client Experience

You are making conscious decisions about where to integrate video and when to show up live. Your process won’t take up too much of their time, which clients really appreciate. We aren’t trying to make their lives harder by working with us!

Saves You Time

Everyone’s time is valuable, and sometimes a call isn’t needed. Instead, you can record a video to give a client the information to review on their own time. We enjoy client calls, but if we had a call for everything we needed to share with our clients, we wouldn’t have any other time in the day!

We even felt a little intimidated to create videos for our business that weren’t reels. With reels, you can be goofy and unproduced. But once you start and integrate video for your brand, it’s an easy and fun way to do different things! So we encourage you to try creating some videos for your service-based business. And here are a few creative ways you can do that!

14 Creative Ways to Integrate Video in Your Service Business

If you’ve been racking your brain during this episode trying to integrate video outside of social media, we got you! We’ve thought of and used some creative ways to incorporate video into our business that we want to share with you! By no means do you have to do all of these, but hopefully, this gets your creative juices flowing!

1. Welcome and Onboarding Videos

Create a friendly welcome video for new clients to introduce yourself and set expectations. You can even automate it to appear after they sign your contract or include it in your welcome kit.

2. Client Proposals and Project Pitches

Walk potential clients through your proposal, explaining your strategy and showing examples of your work. This makes the process a lot more personal and allows clients to pick the best service.

3. Educational Content Hubs and Tutorials

Whether you’re coaching, consulting, or providing a service, create short videos to answer common questions or explain your process. We have an arsenal of tutorials for our clients and SEO membership students.

4. Celebration Videos

Pop the bubbly and send a celebratory video when clients hit milestones, like finishing a project, reaching a goal, or launching something new.

5. Course Creation

We recorded every SEO on Tap module in Tella, which made the entire process easy. We talk more about this in episode #112!

6. “Behind the Scenes” Video Tours

Record a video of what to expect when you work together and your process. It could be featured on your investment page or in your inquiry workflows. You might even record a “Day in the Life” video of working with you!

7. Project Reveal Videos

Instead of sending over a PDF or static files with screenshots, create a “reveal” video where you walk through a project live. Clients want to see your work in action!

8. “Micro-Training” Series

Maybe live webinars aren’t your jam. Try something different, like a pre-recorded video training! You could still set it up to be live in the background and answer questions so it feels more personal.

9. Video Testimonials or Case Studies

Create videos featuring client success stories or showing before and after results. You could clip together a video of your clients or students testimonials and results. Get creative with the designs!

10. Video FAQ Page

Instead of a heavy text-based FAQ, create a page filled with short videos answering common questions. We’d still prefer some copy from an SEO perspective, but Google loves showing videos in search results, too!

11. Video Office Hours

Take a different approach to live Q&As. Capture the video content whenever you want and gather the questions in advance. Send it to your email list or repurpose it as a reel.

12. Create a “Start Here” Video Hub

We have one of these for our new members inside our SEO Membership. This idea is great for memberships, long timelines or emails, and coaching clients.

13. Email List VIP Videos

Make your email list feel special by giving them exclusive looks at new products or services. We did a BTS for our course launch and sent it to a specific group of subscribers.

14. Video Podcasting

We actually record all our podcast episodes with video! We haven’t done anything with them (yet), but it’s our goal!

Video Tips

We have some quick tips to help you record and integrate video into your process. These have helped us feel more comfortable with video, and our audience loves it!

  • Show your face: People want to see you even if you aren’t dolled up!
  • Include timestamps: “If you want to dive into branding, skip to 2:30. If SEO is your jam, fast forward to 4:00!”
  • Make it engaging by asking your audience to do something: “Pause here and try it on your end, then hit play when you’re ready for the next step!”
  • Brand your video environment: This is one of the reasons why we absolutely love Tella! Brand backgrounds, on-screen prompts, logos, elements, text, etc.
  • Drop Easter Eggs: “If you spot the coffee mug in the background, DM us on Instagram for a special surprise!”
  • Make it Personal: Look directly into the camera and ask your audience to take a specific action, like leaving a comment or pausing to implement what they’ve learned.
  • Just Be You! Don’t feel the need to perform.

Why We Love Using Tella for Business Videos

In episode #111, we discuss why Tella is our favorite video tool in depth. To sum up, we love that it brands our videos beautifully—something that will usually cost you an arm and a leg, or you might not be able to do it at all. You can also change the size and video after recording, so it’s easy to repurpose content for multiple platforms.

We’ve tested a lot of video recording platforms, and Tella is by far the easiest to edit within. We switched from Loom to Tella and haven’t looked back!

Video isn’t just for YouTubers and influencers—it’s a powerful tool for any service-based business. If you’re ready to start creating videos without the tech overwhelm, go check out Tella. It’s one of the easiest tools we’ve added to our business, making video creation a breeze.

And if the idea of video makes you nervous, just start small. Try recording a quick introduction video with Tella and see how it feels. We promise—it gets easier every time!
