Since starting Duo Collective, we’ve worked with all kinds of clients – small businesses, agencies, B2B, e-commerce, service providers… And a lot of people have the same question: “What SEO results will I get?”
So today, we’re sharing some real SEO results we’ve seen our clients get from the updates we made to their website and SEO strategy. And guess what? You can get the same results!
Keyword Opportunities
While doing keyword research for our client Lesuif, we found new keyword opportunities for “tallow balm benefits” and “before and after.” So we decided to create two new pages on her website targeting these keywords.
She was only indexed for around 10 keywords and since creating those pages, they now have almost 200! The “Tallow Balm Before and After” page is now a top-performing page for her website that shows up on page two and drives monthly traffic.
This change also impacted her domain authority. She moved from a 3 to a 7, and this is the hardest SEO number to grow! One small change made a big impact on her traffic and authority.
Indexing Opportunities
Meet Go Green Home Supply, a company that provides eco-friendly building materials. They actually already had a great website when they came to us, but a lot of their products were showing up on Google. We found out it was because they were only indexed for four keywords!
We put a huge focus on getting Google Search Console set up so we could manually request indexing. We submitted their sitemap and started requesting Google to crawl their pages. We also focused on using keywords in the right spots on the website so it made sense for the user experience and Google crawling the page.
They went from four keywords to over 800. They didn’t have any traffic to now over 600 hits per month, and continues to grow! Their domain authority also increased by 5 points. The results you can see are amazing just from telling Google your website exists!
Increase Website Traffic
Next, we have Pregnant and Hungry. She had so many web pages already driving a pretty good amount of traffic (about 300 hits/month and over 2,000 keywords indexed) but wanted more… Who doesn’t?!
There was nothing inherently wrong with her strategy, but we wanted to increase the number of keywords she ranked for and her website traffic. So we focused on increasing word count on category pages to help search engines understand the page better. This page for recipes for morning sickness is an example. We used better keywords in her headlines and dug deep into her Core Web Vitals with her development team.
From these efforts, that category page is now her top driving traffic page, bringing 1,200 clicks in the past three months! She went from 300 clicks/month to thousands, all from adjusting the keywords she was targeting and increasing word count.
Keyword Density
This is one of our examples. Our SEO on Tap page was on page 5+ on Google. We wanted it to rank higher for the term “DIY SEO Course.” We naturally used the term “SEO Course” in the copy so we simply added “DIY” in front of it. By naturally infusing our main keyword into the copy and headlines, we moved from page 5 to page ONE in less than two weeks!
Are there times when we don’t see big SEO results?
Absolutely. We never guarantee SEO results but we optimize with strategies we know work. At the very least, we typically see an uptick in keywords indexed and then some traffic.
If you don’t have a lot of content or a lot of words on your website, you likely won’t be able to drive a lot of traffic. One-time optimizations can only go so far, which is why focusing on long-term growth strategies like blogging and backlink strategies is so important.
