Shannon Leyko of the Paring Down Podcast offers realistic, nonjudgy motivation to reduce clutter and live more intentionally. Through her podcast, blog, and newsletter, she teaches people how to discover their most uncluttered, joyful, purpose-driven lives.

Shannon's visual identity is rooted in calm, lived-in simplicity. She embodies a brand that feels clean and organized, without ever feeling sterile or unreachable.
Every design choice reflects a home in progress rather than a home that's already perfect. The style feels warm and encouraging, while still signaling real expertise in the craft of decluttering.
It’s built to invite her audience to stop comparing themselves to an impossible standard and simply start where they are.
Her icon suite includes various home items to represent decluttering: folded laundry, shirts, baskets, books, etc. All of these icons represent the small, everyday pieces of a life worth keeping neat and tidy.
Used together, the icons form a visual language of the home as it actually is: lived-in, personal, and always a little in progress. Shannon's pups, Chai and Noma, round out the set as a reminder that the goal was never a perfectly empty room, but a fuller, calmer life
Shannon’s color palette feels like her rather than a template pulled from decluttering or lifestyle at large. Most creators in this niche default to the same visual identity—white, beige, sage green, and a touch of black for contrast—because it reads as "clean" and "minimal." That sameness is exactly what makes so many decluttering accounts blur together on a crowded Instagram grid.
By building around unique tones, the colors add a human feel that's cohesive enough to be instantly recognizable as Shannon's the moment someone sees it in their feed, but specific enough that it can't be mistaken for a stock "aesthetic minimalist" brand.

Shannon Leyko helps overwhelmed women clear the excess from their homes and their schedules, so they can stop managing their stuff and start living for what matters most. Drawing on a background in psychology and years of living this herself as a mom of three, she guides an 18,000-strong newsletter list and a top 1% podcast audience toward a calmer, more intentional way of living, one that feels lighter, freer, and fully their own.
This project set out to give Shannon a visual identity she'd feel genuinely proud to put her name on. Her brand and website were built to grow alongside her business as it evolves.
At its core, the brand needed to make decluttering feel approachable, turning what can feel like an overwhelming task into something people feel ready to start.
Every piece, from the icon suite to the color palette, was designed to lower that barrier to entry and invite people into the first step of a calmer, lighter life.
Despite building a devoted following, Shannon worried she didn't have a truly distinctive angle to set her apart in a crowded decluttering space.
We built a brand and website that felt unmistakably hers. It’s rooted in her real life, voice, and story that her audience can relate to.
Most newsletter pages are a dead end. A simple opt-in form and that's it.
Shannon's goal was to grow her email list into her most valuable platform, so we treated her newsletter page like a destination instead of an afterthought. It lives on a keyword-rich URL, answers the questions people actually search when they're overwhelmed by their stuff, and stacks real reader reviews right where the hesitation happens. The result is a page that earns traffic on its own and converts the people it brings in.
"I cannot possibly recommend Duo Collective highly enough!! Courtney, Abbey, and their entire team are not only talented and experienced, but their communication is unmatched. They did my entire branding & website from the ground up, and exceeded expectations!"
In this episode of Duo on Air, Shannon Leyko shares how her personal brand grew from a simple decluttering project into a full-time career, a top-charting podcast, and a book deal with Penguin Random House.
She discusses the discipline behind her viral breakthrough, how she protects personal boundaries while still showing up authentically online, and why she believes giving away free content is what builds real trust with an audience.
The conversation is a candid look at what it actually takes to build a brand around you.
If you’re ready for a brand that not only looks stunning but feels like you, one that builds trust, turns heads, and creates connection from the first click to the final detail, we’d love to bring it to life! From strategy to visuals and everything in between, we’re here to craft a brand that’s built to grow with YOU.
