Our Favorite Coffee Shops to Work At In Minnesota

Sometimes, you just have to get out of the house to work. Away from the kids playing at the top of their lungs, the dog barking, the delivery man ringing the doorbell with all the things you bought online, the dishes or laundry pile… The distractions are truly endless. When we’re ready for a quiet space, or need a creative refresh, we run to our favorite coffee shops to work. (okay we don’t run… we definitely drive, but you get the idea)

We love going to places that have food items, too. When we get hungry, we’re so unproductive! At the same time, if we eat a sugary pastry, we’re also unproductive. So we try to find places that have actual protein and meals. Or we just make sure we are well fed before hand. Explore some of our favorites in this blog!

Wild Grind

Wild Grind has a unique menu of coffee and tea. It also changes seasonally, so there’s always something new to try. We enjoy the outdoor patio in the summer and the cozy indoors in the winter. Their seasonal coffee flights are our favorite thing ever! We will get one hot and one iced and split em. So be sure to bring a friend. 😉 Plus you can bring your pup!

Location: 6031 Pillsbury Ave S

Food Menu: Baked Goods & Pastries. They do occasionally have food trucks in the evenings when their brewery doors open!

Nokomis Beach Coffee

Nokomis Beach Coffee is right next to Abbey’s house and is one we frequent a lot. We love the cozy vibe and diverse menu. It’s a cute neighborhood spot where you’re sure to run into someone you know. We could spend all day here (well until they close at 4pm!)

P.s. if you love their menu designs, tell Court, she designed them!

Location: 4756 28th Avenue South

Food Menu: Breakfast and lunch menu items. The perfect place to work and eat!

Food Menu: Light breakfast and lunch options.

Gray Fox Coffee

Gray Fox was actually a frequent stop for both of us when we worked downtown at a corporate agency. They have super unique coffees and an amazing breakfast menu. They make the cutest designs in their lattes! It’s a great place downtown to sit and work. There are a ton of tables and couches to get in the zone. If you need to gather a networking group, this is the perfect place!
